Common Problems or Mistakes

Problems or mistakes

Sweaty Hands has always been a problem for me. And whenever my hands were sweaty I would wipe them with a towel only to see that ten minutes later they are sweaty again. There are 2 great solutions to this problem. Both of which are every day items. The first thing is a bar of deodorent. Just put the deoderent on your hands and your good to go. The second thing is a little baby powder. Incase you don't want to use your brand new bar of deodorent then this is an alternitive. I use the gold bond kind incase you wanted to know.

One mistake that I learned from didn't have to do with the magic I did, it had to do with my materials. The mistake was opening a new deck right before a show so during your performance you're working with a brand new deck. Or using an old "beater" deck when I was used to using a brand new one. The point is: what you practice with is what you should work with. Unless you have a poker sized deck and you switch to a bridge size for your show. There are some execptions.

Another mistake is thinking that you are ready to go on to perform big shows before you even have done a little performance for your friends or family. The way to start is to go perform to as many different crowds as possible. Charity events, conventions, and elderly homes are just some examples of where you can start out. Then work your way up and maybe you could become the next street magician like Blaine or stage magician like Copperfield. And also just because you know alot of tricks doesnt't mean your a good magician. Good magicians sometimes know alot of tricks but the tricks that they do know, they have mastered. So don't just learn a trick one day then go out on the streets performing it the next day. Just take some material, master it and then go on to something else. And don't just go through it like your speed reading a book.
